What is counselling?

The professional counselling body says; “Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners, who work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their well-being.”

A little more about Nikki

Nikki’s core counselling principle is that an authentic relationship is the underlying foundation for any of her client work. Professional training and regular attendance to professional development courses is vital. Equally as important is her own understanding of herself, and to ensure that she is in the best space possible before she can help anyone else, with her undivided attention within the therapy process.

Nikki has a specific set of tools to help each person depending on their personalities, needs and issues. This stems from fifteen years of experience and learning. This offers a confidence to be fluid and adaptable to each person.
